'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Johnson On Fightback

Gary Johnson has said he was delighted with the spirit of the team as they came back from a goal behind against Preston.

Speaking to the BBC Johnson was a bit cheeky in how he described Preston going ahead, saying.

'It was nice, we looked a strong club again. We went 1-0 down so we gave Preston a little carrot to make them want to keep going.'

Johnson also had praise for returning duo Nathan Ralph and Lewis Young after their lengthy injuries, saying it was good to see them back fit and having a positive impact on the game, especially given their time out injured.

Overall Johnson was most pleased with the commitment shown by the players to get themselves back into the game, without panicking or making errors by chasing too hard. The patience shown and the professionalism and belief exhibited by the team certainly put a smile on his face.
