Yeovil 3 Preston 1

12th February 2013
19:45
Huish Park

Preston's winless run stretched to seven games, whereas Yeovil extended their winning streak to seven with a win over The Lilywhites at Huish Park on Tuesday night.

Yeovil's confidence, off the back of six straight wins, was clearly high and they had several early chances before Chris Beardsley (30) fired Preston ahead against the run of play on the half hour mark.

The hosts continued to push and came close again before Paddy Madden continued his goalscoring form, or so he thought but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Beardsley almost doubled Preston's lead before Yeovil finally equalised through James Hayter (73) and it wasn't long before they took the lead through substitute Nathan Ralph (80).

A ninth goal in six games was scored by Madden (90+4) deep into injury-time to round off a 3-1 win for the hosts.
