Not Surprised Players Are Attracting Interest

Gary Johnson has said it's come as no surprise to him that there are rumours of clubs being interested in some of our players.

Speaking to the Western Gazette Johnson admitted he knew which clubs were turning up and scouting but obviously not which players exactly, but it's the same at every club and it's not something he's concerned about because links will appear when players are doing well for their club.

'Last week there were four Premier League clubs there represented and seven Championship clubs. These are people that have been regularly as well. The League One representatives are usually the ones that you are playing soon. Jean Cotton produces a list every week so we know who is keeping an eye on us. We are doing the same with our scouting system. That's the way it is.'

As for the direct links with players, Johnson dismissed them as pure speculation especially with the window being closed, he's just focused on what we do between now and the end of the season as opposed to anything else.
