'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McAllister Upset By Allegations

Gary Johnson has said that midfielder Jamie McAllister has been left upset by allegations made against him that the Football Association are now investigating.

The FA have confirmed to the press that they are investigating an alledged incident following the final whistle in our 1-0 win over Tranmere, although they have yet to contact the club directly and with specifics.

Speaking to the BBC the manager said.

'We didn't know until some time after the game that somebody may have complained. I've spoken to Janue and he will deny any allegations made against him. He's very upset by it.'

Johnson couldn't say much else really, especially until the specific allegations are confirmed, but he did add.

'If the FA have to look into it then they'll have to deal with whichever person is telling the truth and, more so, deal with the person who's not telling the truth. It seems it's one word against somebody else's. You trust the officials to do the right thing.'

All that is known at the moment is the allegations centre around McAllister apparently racially abusing a member of the opposition team, suggested to be Abdulai Bell-Baggie.
