Let's Make A Dream Come True

Let's Make A Dream Come True

Gary Johnson has said Yeovil can make their dreams come true by gaining promotion and proving they are good enough to mix it in the second tier.

Speaking to the Guardian people have obviously made the comparisons with relegated QPR and the fact that individual players earn more than our just under £1million annual wage bill, but Johnson knows this is a key moment for the players to write their own history and prove they are good enough.

'This is my players' chance to make their dreams come true. Everyone in our squad comes from humble beginnings but hopefully they'll be earning big money soon. Our annual wage bill is just under £1million, so if we go up and I get the chance to double that, it would be Christmas.'

Johnson says even doubling our wage bill would still leave us someway off what other Championship clubs pay their players, but the chance to play in the second tier is what it should be all about - not what the players take home.
