Johnson - QPR Effectively A Premiership Team

Gary Johnson has said he's relishing the test we will face against QPR because they are effectively still a Premiership side.

The game this weekend at Huish Park will actually be the first time the two clubs have met in the league - previous encounters being in the Cup competitions - and QPR are obviously the current table toppers and one of the biggest spenders in the league, so the test we will face is phenomenal.

Speaking to the BBC the manager explained that the way he was approaching the game was in he was preparing to face a Premiership side, but it's a game the players shouldn't need any motivating for.

'They've got some great players, like Joey Barton for instance. He'd be on more than our team, our supporters and chairman. Put them all together and he'd still be earning more than our whole caboodle. But we've got to make sure we believe in ourselves now that we are at the same level as QPR, on the pitch at least.'

Whilst the result can go anyway, even if Yeovil are seriously up against it and you'd find few who would put money on us coming away with even a draw, Johnson wants the players to go out there and give it there all, and put in a performance that they can be proud of come the final whistle.

For thing Johnson has promised the fans is that Yeovil will give their all, they will give them a game and we won't be parking the bus looking for a 0-0.
