Striker Sam Hoskins has said that Yeovil need to ignore big reputations, especially as we host Nottingham Forest this weekend and follow that up with a trip to Leeds United.
Speaking to the Western Gazette ahead of the game, the young striker spoke on the back of his full debut against Brighton last weekend and he pointed to the fact that come 3pm on match day, both teams start level and history and anything else, is just that, irrelevant for 90 minutes.
'It's disappointing we dropped to the bottom of the league, but the spirit of the lads to stay in the game with the hard work was very good against Brighton and we were just pleased to get a point. Hopefully we can push on next Saturday and get another three.'
Speaking specifically on the point, he adds that with no disrespect meant to the teams with a bigger name than we have - their name is also bigger than where they currently are - we really can't pay any attention to that, or let it affect our game or confidence because any team is beatable on any given day, and Yeovil have to make sure it started being our day in games now.
Hoskins also said that he feels the team can take a lot of confidence from the overall performance against Brighton, because they are a very attacking side who will be looking to do well again this season, but over the course of the 90 minutes we more than matched them really, and had the better chances to take all three points, so it's not like Yeovil cannot compete at this level, we just have to be slightly more clever and take the chances when they come along.
Obviously being a striker that's something the youngster is hoping he can prove he can do if he's impressed the gaffer enough to start a few more matches and get a real run going for himself.
It's a learning curve for Hoskins like it is his colleagues, and he'll have no doubt learnt from the yellow card he received for 'simulation' although he admits it was harsh as he was fouled, but mentally he'll have learnt a lot from the fear of being shown a red later in the game, only to be given a final warning by the referee, admitting when you are on a card your mindset does change on 50/50 balls because you know the opposition will make the most of it to give them an advantage.
