Manager Gary Johnson has said that neither side will be happy with a point following our one all draw with Barnsley yesterday.
Yeovil took the early lead before Barnsley secured their leveller from the penalty spot before the half time break, but the stats certainly don't make good reading on our side but that isn't to say we didn't have the opportunity to snare all three points in the encounter. With that said, so did they, and speaking to the Western Gazette following the game, the gaffer explained.
'Both teams will be disappointed. They had their opportunities and we had ours. We started well and I wouldn't liked to have finished what we started. We had some late chances, shots, headers and three v one we didn't take advantage of. I'm certainly disappointed we didn't take three points if you don't take three points one is second best.'
Johnson goes on to say that he feels it was one of those games that would've been fantastic for the neutral to have watched, but it's not a game the players will come out of smiling and nor does he expect the fans to because he doesn't expect many neutrals were in attendance.
Even going as far as pointing to James Hayter chances near the end because it's chances like that he's made his career on, but it hasn't gone in, but equally Chris Dunn in goal had to pull off some good saves as well.
It is another point on the table tally though which helps keep us in touching distance of those above us, so it can't be smarted at. Would just be sitting a bit more comfortably if Sheffield Wednesday didn't have that game in hand, so somewhere we need to make that count.
As for the other incident in the game, at least immediately after the match the gaffer wouldn't be drawn into comments on whether on loan Ishmael Miller did in fact handle the ball as the referee suggested when ruling out his goal, but for Johnson he questions why anybody one when they are only a yard from the goal line.
He was pretty sure though that their penalty award was 'soft'.
