Glovers v Middlesbrough - Preview

The Glovers last game as a SkyBet Championship club, at least for one season, will be played on Saturday as we look to sign off on a high at Huish Park against Middlesbrough.

Tom Lawrence will end his Glovers career on 19 appearances following Manchester United's interim manager Ryan Giggs deciding that he wants to take a look at the youngster so has recalled him.

Gary Johnson will want to win but might allow some sentimentality to take over with some of the fridge players given a game.

Sam Foley will probably be given a start as we seek a first home win in almost a month.

Middlesbrough's former England international Jonathan Woodgate has a hamstring injury and will miss his sides first ever trip to Huish Park, George Friend and Grant Leadbitter will also miss out due to injuries but Kei Kamara has an outside chance.

Rhys Williams (Achilles), Stuart Parnaby (knee) and Muzzy Carayol (anterior cruciate ligament) are all injured with Dean Whitehead likely to be rested as he is facing a three match suspension to kick off the next SkyBet Championship season if he collects a yellow card.

We were well beaten at the Riverside Stadium earlier in the season in the first ever meeting between the sides.

Middlesbrough have nothing to play for but will still give us a game but it would be great to end with a win and I have this feeling we will. Am I letting my heart rule my head though?
