Glovers Gave Duffy Everton Chance

Shane Duffy, as I've previously said, was one of a few shining lights in The Glovers SkyBet Championship stay but this was always only going to be a short lived one as his future is at that level, minimal, but more likely in the Premier League.

His time spent at Huish Park could bring him his chance next season with Everton.

Duffy was told by Everton manager Roberto Martinez that if he performed well for us during his loan spell he would be part of his plans going forward with the Premier League side and will now be given a chance in pre season.

Should Duffy, who earned his first international call up by Ireland due to his form with us, perform anything like he did for us during pre season and training for Everton then if he isn't part of their squad next season I'd be very surprised.

Whatever happens the defender knows that this summer is a big one for his future, and I know I for one wish him well with it.
