Way In Team Of Midweek (3/2/17)

Way In Team Of Midweek (3/2/17)

Yeovil Town are represented in the latest Football League team of midweek that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Yeovil Town in the two one victory over Plymouth Argyle in midweek clash at Huish Park was enough to earn Way a place as manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Way was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'After failing to see his side register a goal at home in four games, Way and his Yeovil players chose the perfect time to end the drought, against south-west foes Plymouth Argyle. First-half goals from Nathan Smith and Alex Lacey finally gave the Huish Park crowd something to cheer, and secured a 2-1 win as the Glovers upset their promotion-chasing rivals.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Way for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Alex Smithies (Queens Park Rangers), Scott Malone (Fulham), Pontus Jansson (Leeds United), Jack Barthram (Cheltenham Town), Tom Ince (Derby County), Liam Kelly (Reading), David Edwards (Wolverhampton Wanderers), David Wheeler (Exeter City), Kenneth Zohore (Cardiff City), Lasse Vibe (Brentford), Britt Assombalonga (Nottingham Forest).

Manager - Darren Way (Yeovil Town).
