Smith In Team Of The Week (5/2/18)

Yeovil Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected following the clash with Cambridge United.

The performance by Nathan Smith in the two nil victory over Cambridge United at the weekend at Huish Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Smith was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Smith struck his first league goal this term, volleying home the opener, while producing a determined display as the Glovers kept a second straight clean sheet.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Smith for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Joel Lynch (Queens Park Rangers), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Nathan Smith (Yeovil Town), Junior Hoilett (Cardiff City), Elliott Hewitt (Notts County), Jota (Birmingham City), Tom Huddlestone (Derby County), Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley), Sammy Ameobi (Bolton Wanderers), Ivan Cavaleiro (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

Manager - Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers).
