QPR 3 - Glovers 0

QPR 3 Glovers 0

The SkyBet Championship survival hopes of The Glovers weren't likely to hinge of the outcome of the game with Barclays Premier League chasing QPR, a 3-0 defeat at Loftus Road was harsh though and would have hurt.

We had the early chances with Rob Green saving from both Tom Lawrence and Luke Ayling.

Joey Barton had an effort deflected over and Marek Stech tipped Ravel Morrison's volley, which wasn't cleanly hit, around the post as QPR came back into the game and began taking control.

The QPR breakthrough came through the impressive Morrison feinted a few times before his drive, which Stech didn't have chance with, went in off the post.

A second should have been added by either Junior Hoilett or Clint Hill, but the former took too long to get an effort away with the latter putting wide, before the half time break but QPR still went into the break ahead.

Twice Niko Kranjcar was denied by Stech, his saves keeping us in the game.

Maybe QPR were having the better chances, the only chances really, but only the post prevented us from drawing level. A fine Lawrence drive from 25 yards has Green beaten but not the post.

QPR responded with Jermaine Jenas hitting the bar.

A second goal eventually came and ended our resistance when Bobby Zamora, not long on as a sub, headed home a cross from Hoilett with a third added in the last minute through Morrison.

Survival is still possible, I'm not giving up hope following this defeat as but for a bit of luck we might have got at least a point with a 3-0 scoreline a little harsh on us, and having an impact on our goal difference.

This has been a positive in our favour.
