Blackburn 0 Glovers 0

The Glovers picked up a very good points at Blackburn Rovers on Good Friday but this point isn't likely to be enough to save us from relegation.

We've kept ourselves in with a chance but a 0-0 draw at Ewood Park probably won't be enough at the end of the SkyBet Championship season when alls said and done.

Before kick off we were dealt a blow with Kieffer Moore missing out.

It wasn't long before Blackburn almost took the lead, Marek Stech was beaten by a 25 yard effort from Jason Lowe but he wasn't able to celebrate giving them the lead as his shot came back off the post.

Blackburn again threatened, this time through Jordan Rhodes but he headed a Craig Conway cross wide.

Another header came Blackburn's way, but once again the end product was the same. Again Conway was the creator of this but from his corner Grant Hanley, unchallenged, headed wide much to our relief.

Joe Ralls had gone close in recent games and he found himself with our first effort but couldn't hit the target with our best chance, our only chance really, of the first half.

An even better chance came our way in the second half with Tom Lawrence causing problems to the Blackburn defence to set up Liam Davis but from the edge of the area he shot wide of Paul Robinson's goal.

Robinson was stranded though with a deflected curling Lawrence effort later, this went wide though.

As time ran out The Glovers so nearly found a winner but Joel Grant, summoned on by Gary Johnson, was denied an instant impact with Robinson tipping his effort wide with about 15 minutes to play.

Stech had to save twice late on, from Tom Cairney and Rhodes, but a point isn't enough.

It's five points between us an SkyBet Championship safety but with only a few games left now it's even less likely we'll stay up than it was before kick off on Good Friday, basically we need a miracle now don't we?
