Yeovil 1 Sheffield United 0 - Report & Highlights

Sheffield United

Huish Park

Yeovil might have had League 1 relegation confirmed on Saturday but we reacted to this by beating promotion chasing Sheffield United on Tuesday, with Paul Sturrock's unbeaten start to life as our manager remaining intact.

Granted he's only been in charge of two-matches!

A second half goal was enough to see us through to a one-nil win at Huish Park to stun Nigel Clough's side.

The first half ended goalless but midway through the second half a Foley freekick was flicked on by Webster and Arthurworrey (67) beat Sheffield United 'keeper Howard to the ball to score the winning goal.

You can see more like this on Yeovil Town Football Club.

We remain bottom of the League 1 table but retain hope, for what it's worth, of moving off the foot of the table before the seasons end! Sheffield United on the other hand remain fifth and some eight-points clear of the seventh placed side Rochdale so they'll be competing for a place in the Championship soon enough.

A win here was a massive confidence booster for all, and gives us something to cheer, but who was the Yeovil MotM on Tuesday in your mind? Cast a vote in the poll to your right so we know.
